Preschoolers

EXTENDED SESSION:

During the Sunday morning worship services (8:30 and 11:00 a.m.), childcare is available for Infants, Toddlers, and preschool-age children. This is often referred to as Extended Session. This takes place in classrooms in the Preschool Area located on the level directly below the church office, in the Princess Anne Street building. During this time, children are engaged in story time and fellowship that begins to introduce them to God and to the church as a place of love and security.

SUNDAY SCHOOL:

The Sunday School hour takes place between these two worship services, from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. Infants, Toddlers, and Preschoolers are grouped into classrooms according to their ages. These ages are based on the age of the child by September 30^th of the current school year. In this way, a child will enter the Kindergarten Sunday School class at the same time that they are entering Kindergarten in their grade school.

CHILD SAFETY POLICY:

Please know that Fredericksburg Baptist Church affirms the importance and value of all children by ministering to their spiritual, physical, and emotional needs. Moreover, the church has adopted a Children's and Youth Ministries Safety Policy. Trained and qualified individuals who meet the standards of the church's Child Safety Policy staff the nursery and all of the children's classes.

THROUGOUT THE YEAR:

Activities are planned and take place throughout the year for preschool-age children. These events provide opportunities for them to know that church is a place where we can learn about God and experience the love of God, while having fellowship with one another. This takes place through the Sunday School program, Wednesday night choirs and missions education classes, and other events, such as Vacation Bible School and family events!
