Is there a children's worship service?
YES. Children in Kindergarten, First, and Second Grades are invited to participate in a Children's Church experience. This takes place during the 11:00 worship hour from September through May. During the Offertory hymn, the children are escorted out of the sanctuary to Room C313 where their worship experience takes place. Following the service, parents should pick-up children from this room. Children of all ages are always welcome in the corporate worship experience. We do offer childcare at both worship hours for children from infants through the preschool years. However, once children have entered kindergarten, chilcare is no longer offered for this age group, and they begin to join the congregation in worship. Our church family celebrates this time at the beginning of each school year, by giving each kindergarten child his/her own worship bag during a special orientation in the sanctuary. This personalized satchel is provided as a special welcome gift. It includes crayons, paper, and a guide for parents as they nurture children in elements of worship. Additionally, a Children's Worship bulletin is available from the ushers each Sunday morning. The children's worship bulletin is provided to further assist the children in thinking about key aspects of the worship service and allow them to be engaged in activities that are related to the day's scripture. This is helpful to engage the Kindergarten through 2nd grade students until the time that they depart for Children's Church. It is also a helpful tool for the older children who continue to participate in the entire corporate worship experience.
Remember: Care is provided for children who are of preschool age or younger, however, parents are always welcomed to bring their little ones to worship with them, if they so choose. For a schedule and description of the care activities that are provided during worship, please Click Here.
